A Nice solar boat fleet for UNOC
From June 9 to 13, SeaZen lines up 3 solar boats from Beaulieu-sur-Mer. This is probably the largest fleet of solar boats of this size accessible for private tours with captain. Information on the place of departure is available on Beaulieu’s booking page. It is also possible to book online at any time of the day with the promo code ILoveSolarBoat.
In partnership with the Ministry of the Sea, the Metropolis of Nice and the city of Beaulieu, SeaZen is building its fourth solar boat to contribute to the influence of local know-how during the conference. This new boat, designed in Nice, integrates industrial production in 95% French factories or workshops. The “Maintenance-less” architecture makes it possible to export this electric boat to remote places in the world, without having an electric after-sales service nearby.
The company SeaZen
Founded in 2015, SeaZen specialized in solar navigation.
In 2016, it began by developing a solution for private solar boats tours. Today it has transported more than 14,000 passengers over more than 14,000 km thanks to a totally autonomous navigation with the energy of the sun. Not once did SeaZen have had to recharge its boats on the power grid.
Since 2020, SeaZen has gradually integrated the value chain from the design of solar boats to the recruitment of captains and a franchise to support entrepreneurs wishing to give a new meaning to their career.
Its founder, Guillaume Jacquet-Lagrèze, explains: “The energy transition is 50% of technology and 50% of change of use. We develop the support offer for professionals at the same time as solar boats adapted for rental. ”
