Conference: Soft boating

Summary

The Côte d’Azur, timeless symbol of an art of living, continues to inspire with its dazzling sunshine, exceptional coastline and mythical villas. It is also the cradle of an elegant yachting industry that is constantly innovating. We are witnessing the emergence of a gentler, more respectful type of yachting: electric propulsion, foils, solar energy and new-generation sails. These innovations are redefining our relationship with the sea and can further enrich the Côte d’Azur experience.

This conference offers an overview of the technological advances on which 50% of the energy transition is based. It also invites us to rethink yachting, as well as the way we use boats, as the success of the transition may depend more than 50% on new uses!

Far from being a constraint, this transformation is a tremendous opportunity. It opens the way to more sustainable, more contemplative boating, and ultimately to a better quality of life for all.

Guillaume Jacquet-Lagrèze founder of seazen.fr and administrator of the Association Française des Bateaux Électriques hosts these conferences.
